Widetrack suspension - amortisseurs ?
#1
I'm about to register a UK RHD 7 K VVC in Belgium.

I understand that there will be a problem with adjustable suspensions and with the ground clearance underneath the sump.

So I'll need to change the adjustable Bilstein dampers (with blue sticker) ? Which non-adjustable damper will fit a widetrack suspension ?

And is it possible to lift a Caterham 7 till 110 mm ground clearance underneath the sump ? How to do so ?

Many thanks in advance !

You can ask it to GPS garage Antwerp or to Simon Lambert (Aftersales Caterham UK)
You need 2.5 cm ? more than actuel clearance ?

They have to accept it as it is, ground clearence on a std. Caterham is about 7cm best is to find a MOT with a 4 post bridge rather than a pit.

Raising the ride height on a wide track by so much would mean that you will need about a 10cm spacer.

205 tyres are to big for a std VVC better is to stick with the 185's but beware that the tyres witch are on the wheels at the moment that you present the Seven for homologation are going to be marked onto the CT paper
