Joint Entre Carbu Et Filtre À Air
#1
Bonjour,

I think i have 2 lying around but they may be for 45's still they can be the same.
Also it's rare to find those gaskeths on Webers, i am sure there are none on my Xflow engine that was build by Roger King witch is an expert engine builder.
If you want you can have them for free, otherwise use the filter housing as a template to make your own.

Thank you eliepower for your answer,
I have 40DCOE and I don't know if the design is the same between the 45 and the 40.
I think I will cut 2 gaskets with a large one.
Thank you.

If you buy new filter elements from K&N you do receive those gaskeths, otherwise a light coat of grease will do the trick.

Each gaskeths seems like a pair of glasses and the material looks like fiber joints.
Each Weber have a gasketh and there is a leakage between the carburettor and the support of the air filter. Perhaps the leakage is not important ? and don't modify the performances ?

fifzcat, how did you checked the leakage ? and no this does not affect perf.

Good evening, eliepower
I say that there is a leakage because the actual gaskeths are old, they don't have their original forms and there is a part which is not in contact both with the carburettor and the air filter support. It's visible when the air filters aren't in place.
I was afraid that these air leakages affect the perfs. I think the risk is a particle which enter into the cylinder without be stopped by the air filter.
