Huggy, The std diff. from a XR 4i is not really the one you need, it has only a 25% slip diff and besides that it is viscous. Beware the Cossie 3 door diff is 7.5" so this would not fit straight into a Caterham, the Cossie 4x4 is 7" witch is a straight swap in a Caterham. CWP are interchangeable so u can choose the one thats suit you,the 3.9 will give you more acc. and a lower top speed the 3.6 will give a higher top speed and a bit less acc.Best for all round driving is the Quaife ATB there was one sec.hand for sale at MOG in Germany 350£ p&p inc. anywhere in Europ then you will need to find someone to fit it in your diff. ( any Ford garage can do it )
The Scorpio diff can be used but u will need to do some slight modifications so that it can accept the Caterham / Sierra type halfshafts.
