Passe tres inapercu au Mondial, a croire que Fiat ne veut pas qu'on la remarque...
The Lancia "Grandturismo" concept car, designed by Carcenaro, Maggiori and Lancia Centro Style has made a low key public debut away from the limelight at the Paris Motor Show.
Situated on the Carcenaro stand along with models of the "New York" ( currently being shown at the 'Avantgarde in Italian Car Design' exhibition in New York ) and the "Triaganos", the lack of association with the Lancia stand ( in seperate halls ), it is not the launch that many had hoped for.
The car, based on the Thesis floorpan, has drawn praise for its styling and details. The clean, flowing lines give it an attractive "Grand Turismo" look and the attention-to-detail, especially in the neat front and rear lights have created an integrated design. The large Lancia grille gives it the "family" look, and it sits easily idenifiable with its Thesis heritage.
Carcenaro seem convinced that this concept, which looks much more impressive in the flesh than photographs convey, will see production however and it has to be hoped that the project can move forward.
